This is a traditional Motor Inn with all the charm one would hope for! From the wonderfully friendly family that runs the Inn to the beautifully manicured landscaping. There are so many varieties of flowers throughout the property and one of the most stunning Weeping Willow Trees I have ever seen with benches directly underneath to enjoy the morning or afternoon! Thanks for all the hospitality and conversation! Sincerely, V Sopuch

I recently spent a week in Burnsville while closing on a house and chose the Carolina Country Inn over the other area accommodations. I'm glad I made that choice! The family owned business was very personable and extremely friendly, the rooms were more cozy and had a more country/rural atmosphere than traditional "cut an paste" chains - which I liked! What more can I say? If you're in need of a place to stay in Yancey/Mitchell county or close to that area, I recommend the Carolina Country Inn above any other motels in the vicinity!

Clean and comfortable is only half the stay. The innkeepers are ready to make you at home. When family visits overflow my accommodations, Carolina Country Inn becomes the spare bedrooms I don't have. Burnsville is lucky to have this restful main-street Inn.

This is a small, older motel that has been remodeled. It's nothing fancy at all, but clean and quiet, and there is a small frridge and microwave in the room. It reminded me a lot of my Granny's house! The owner is friendly, and the price is right. Also, there is a Western Sizzlin' steak house right across the road, and another restaurant next door. I also liked that the rooms have screen doors, so you can let in some fresh mountain air.

This is a fairly basic inexpensive motel in a fairly central location in Burnsville with quite a few shops and restaurants in walking or short driving distance. The rooms are not elaborate but they don't need to be. The price is fair, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and above all the service is good enough to make you feel like you're staying over at your mother's house. As best as I could tell the woman I spoke with at the front desk was the owner of the motel along with her husband (who I didn't meet).
We were three guys who came in town to hike up to Mount Mitchell in early January and we were looking to stay in one room to minimize cost. She offered us extra blankets and pillows if somebody wanted to sleep on the floor. Since much of the town was shut down due to snow/ice she called around to find a place still open where we could get breakfast, and then gave us directions. Most impressively, she seemed genuinely concerned about our safety on our hiking trip (temps were below zero) and suggested that we be sure to call her once we got back on Monday or else she'd call the park ranger and tell him we might be stranded.
Can you imagine the receptionist at some fancy 5 star hotel offering to do that because they actually cared about your safety?

This place was so beautiful with the snow covered landscape Dec. 18th and 19th Blizzard 09. This place was a blessing from above and the owners treated us like family. We were stranded on I 26 and a stranger saved my children and I from a horrified nightmare by taking us to his beautiful town (Burnville). Everyone I came in contact with in this town treated us wonderful and went out of their way to make us feel at home and safe. The Inn was so comfort, clean, low rates and had just about all you could ask for. I recommend this Inn to anyone who loves peace and quiet or Storybook cottages. I was in a nightmare that turned into a wonderful dream world. I owe the owner and the strangers my life.

This is a "Blast from the past"! We loved it. Had a family gathering to go to Mt. Mitchell. Needed several rooms and the hosts were wonderful filling our wishes. The grounds were beautiful. The rooms were spotless. We loved every minute of the motel and the town, it was well worth the trip.

Trevor and Maureen, Thank you for your hospitality and being good ambassadors of Burnsville. We had a great time and I love your home town. Next time you are in Charleston please allow me to return the hospitality!

Maureen & Trevor, The rooms, new bath & grounds look wonderful. We know it takes a lot of work - Thank you.

Best Hotel in Town
Burnsville is a small town and you don't have a lot of choices for hotels. However, I would definetly recommend the Carolina Inn

We REALLY enjoyed our stay! Such a cute room, so clean, and we loved meeting Tiger the cat. What a cutie pie.
We will tell others about this quaint little piece of Americana. Thanks for a great time.

Spent a week at the Carolina Country Inn, didn't want to leave. The room was darling, the sheets smelled like home. Trevor and Morreen are both lovely people. It is a little bit of country right inside the town, close to anything you need. Loved it and will be staying again soon.I would highly recommend anyone going to Burnsville to stay at the Carlolina Country Inn.

GREAT PLACE WHAT CAN I SAY BUT THUMBS UP.

I enjoy staying here so much - excellent

I stayed there while on an out of town project. Perfect Accomodations. Move over Hampton Inn. I will be back.

We had a very, very nice vacation. Thanks for your hospitality!

What a neat place to stay! Trevor and Maureen are really pleasant, hard working (splitting logs)folks to meet and talk with… and Tiger is a real pussy cat! The rooms are quaint and comfortable and the motel is close to dining and unique shopping establishments. It is also close to the attractive city central and it is an excellent “base camp location” for those who are exploring the North Carolina Quilt Trails. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Yancey and Mitchell Counties.

The rooms were clean; comfortable bed; quiet location; very enjoyable stay. The rate was also very reasonable.

We stayed here on a visit to Mt Mitchell in Sept. What a great place. Very clean and quite. We too slept with the windows open, A+ .

Trevor and Maureen are amazing hosts The motel was clean, comfortable, and in a great location. Thanks for making our vacation so enjoyable.

Our stay was lovely. The room was extremely clean and had very nice \"country\" decor, and the grounds were absolutely beautiful with gorgeous flowers, plants, and trees. Thanks for everything!

We were very happy to find these accommodations right in the heart of Burnsville. Maureen and Trevor are perfectly suited to maximizing the appeal of the rooms and the grounds of this delightful and economical motor lodge. The rooms have a graceful intimacy of decor that bespeaks the loving care that attends them. We always look forward to our trips to the mountains now that we've discovered Carolina Country Inn and its inspired and energetic innkeepers Maureen and Trevor.

We had a lovely two-night stay at your Inn. Trevor and Maureen were a pleasure to converse with. So much nicer than a \"big box\" hotel! We will be back! Thank you so much for your hospitality!

I only stayed for one night, less than 12 hours actually but it has such an \"at home\" kinda feel. Cozy, quiet and extremely clean. Very cute country decor helps add to that at homee feeling! Will def recommend to anyone traveling that way!!

My wife and I stayed at Carolina Country Inn so I could help my dad work on a place he owns near Burnsville. I think we're going to make the inn our regular spot until the house is finished. Nice clean room, friendly folks, cool little town. We'll be back.

We've made Carolina Country our "home away from home" every year we attend family reunion in Yancey County - and have for quite some time. Trevor and Maureen have done so much to improve the inn - and it is a joy to "come home" each year.

We spent 3 weekend nights there in August. Very quite room with no outside noise. I believe the town rolls up the sidewalks at sunset:~) We like quite! The rooms are clean and the king size bed was more comfortable than ours at home. Trevor and Maureen are a pleasure and were very nice to us. The next time we are in Spruce Pine, we will stay in Burnsville with Trevor and Maureen. The small restaurant next door serves a perfect breakfast!

We love the inn, Maureen and Trevor. Every time we stay we feel so at home. It is a beautiful property and so convenient. Thanks for all you do and the wonderful experiences we have had. WE LOVE YOUR CAT!!!

Very special place. Very special people. Authentically one in a million. The beds are great, the place is clean. It has that storybook charm that is so underated. Not fancy, but very very comfortable. I have been coming here for 3 years and it is the ONLY place I will stay in the entire area. I was formerly a dept. manager at the Fairmont Hotel in SF. I would rather stay here any day, because it is like home. The only down side is - I want it kept secret so there's a room when I come in.

I have stayed at the Carolina Country Inn many times. Maureen and Trevor are such a pleasure to deal with and they consistenly provide clean, comfortable accomodations each and every time. These wonderful innkeepers go the extra mile to make sure your stay is pleasant, safe and enjoyable. When I am anywhere close to Burnsville, this is where I stay, no exceptions.

What a great stay! Last minute find and what a treat - we'll be back!

WE WERE THERE FOR OUR ANNUAL VISIT JUST A FEW DAYS AGO.
TO EXPLAIN HOW MUCH WE ENJOY AND APPRECIATE EVERYTHING THAT THIS INN HAS IS QUITE DIFFICULT. IN FACT, ALTHOUGH PROBABLY NOT WORKABLE, WE WOULD LOVE TO OFFER OUR OLD HISTORIC PLANTATION HOME(ROSEVILLE PLANTATION)FOR TREVOR AND MAUREEN TO SET UP AND OPERATE A B&B AND SPECIAL EVENTS BUSINESS. MANY FRIENDS AND VISITORS HAVE URGED US TO DO THAT, BUT WE ARE TOO OLD, WHEREAS YOU TWO WOULD BE PERFECT. THAT OFFER MAY SOUND LIKE A DREAM, BUT IT AT LEAST SHOWS HOW MUCH WE VALUE WHAT YOU ARE DOING IN BEAUTIFUL BURNSVILLE.

My husband and I stayed with you on the 26th. We came for the Vet motorcycle ralley. The room was great and being able to sit outside our room was nice. thank you for making us feel at home...pam

I have stayed twice now at this great place. I am about to reserve a room again for my third time. Always clean and homy. I lived in Burnsville for 9 years and moved back to Springfield,Il. but I seem to always come back. Well my son and family live there! I will and do recommend the Carolina Country Inn!!

we stayed June 22 2012 and we loved our room and time there and will visit again. It was so homey and beautiful and just made you feel like you didn't want to leave.

My family stayed at Carolina Country Inn last year and loved it but I didn't write a comment. We stayed for 4 days again this year and loved it again so I'm writing a comment this year to say this is a fabulous place to stay. Maureen and Trevor are the best hosts ever!I feel like when I go back again I'll be visiting friends instead of motel hosts. They are SO accommodating and they do their best to make sure that your stay is the best! We will be back again!

My husband John and I decided to ride the Blue Ridge Hwy on our motorcycle and we were caught in a horrendous storm. When we were able to get off of the Blue Ridge, we came into a little town called Celo. There we found a wonderful lady who runs the grocey store on Hwy.19E.She and her customers just raved about the Carolina Country Inn when we asked where we could find a clean, nice and affordable place to stay.
Well,we were NOT disappointed! Trevor and Maureen went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The room was very nice and exceptionally clean and the bed was fantastic! A great nights sleep! We took a 10,000 mile bike ride last year and literally this was the cleanest room we stayed in. We stayed in very expensive hotels and motels and the lower end name brands too. We will definitely stay here again, not only for the room itself, but the owners are wonderful. Thank you again Trevor and Maureen for your hospitality! May the Lord continue to bless you.

STAYED IN ONE OF THE HOMEY ROOMS SEVERAL YEARS BACK. THOUHGT OF IT TODAY AND AM REALLY MISSING THAT SMALL TOWN FRIENDLY FEELING....LOVE THIS PART OF CAROLINA AND THE PEOPLE...HIGHLY RECOMMEND !

Our family, daughter and her family have enjoyed staying at Carolina Country Inn for many years. We love the \"at home\" atmosphere, very clean rooms, and how Maureen and Trevor (owners) treat us like old friends. We're at home staying there. Enjoyed our trip recently for Mt Mitchell Craft Fair so much, that we booked reservations for Oct. to do some fishing, get apples at Altapass on Blueridge Parkway, and of course, eat some good smoked BBQ at Bubbas. Thank you Trevor and Maureen. Love, love your Inn. Burt & Nancy Cashatt

Great place to stay! Trever & Maureen have been the best of hosts since we've started staying there in 2000. Highly recommend their place!

My sister and I recently stayed two nights at the Inn. I was very pleased with the room, it was very clean and the beds were wonderful . The staff was friendly and helpful. I will make this my getaway when in the area.

This is a great place to stay! Very affordable and very clean. The owners are friendly and they succeed in making you feel comfortable while you are away from home. Location is great. There is not a lot of traffic, but plenty to do nearby...Crabtree Falls, Mt Mitchell, Asheville to name a few. I definitely recommend you stay here!

Stayed here for 3 nights in Oct. with family. A very clean and charming place. Maureen and Trevor go out of their way to make your stay a wonderful one. So many things to do nearby. Will be returning to stay here again.

We came to Brunsville to visit family and chose to stay at Carolina Country Inn. We had such a restful and great time that we will be back in June 2013 to again spend time with our family at Green Mountain. We especially loved sitting outside and enjoying the early morning and late evening. This lovely Inn and the Innkeepers were GREAT! Also, easy to get to places to eat. What more could you ask for! Thanks. We will see you in June.

Planning a trip to Asheville, I did some online searching for unique places to stay for my trip. I discovered this Inn on the internet and read the comments by the guests and was Immediately drawn to come here for a visit. This Inn is unique in that it provides a warm atmosphere, very "cottagey" kind of feel (is that such a word?) and I loved it. Lots of amenities, beautiful flowers abound in front of the Inn. Very well kept as well. Both Trevor and Maureen are exceptional hosts and provided recommendations for a great dining experience at a great restaurant called In The Garden. I will definitely return and tell everyone how great this place is. Thanks Trevor and Maureen.

Thanks so much for the outstanding accommodations. Your hospitality is first class, as is your beautiful country inn. We have been to Burnsville numerous times, but this was our first visit with Trevor and Maureen. We highly recommend this beautiful and quaint Country Inn.

Came last yr and stayed at this wonderful Inn while attending a family reunion. Back again this year and it is such a great place to stay. The Innkeepers are such great people and very very friendly. The resident cat is even very welcoming. Will be back same time next year!

Such a lovely little inn. Very clean , welcoming, and friendly! The staff and owners are absolutely wonderful and we cannot wait to go back and visit not only the lovely town of Burnsville, but this beautiful little inn. Definitely a great price and worth ! every penny for your stay! You will love this place!

My husband and I stayed here for two nights right before Christmas while in town for a funeral. All I can say is that it was an ABSOLUTELY AMAZING experience! Maureen and Trevor went above and beyond the call of any business owner and they truly helped turn a sad and unfortunate occasion into an enjoyable and relaxing stay. Not only were they absolutely wonderful people, but their rooms (and hotel in general) were clean, comfortable, warm, unique, and unlike any other we've ever stayed at. For that we're truly grateful! Without them and the whole town of Burnsville we may not have made it home in time for Christmas with the comforting peace of mind they instilled upon us before our departure. Words can't express our gratitude to each and everyone in this town who made our stay so surreal due to the kindness and care they all provided us with during such a sad event.

Awesome place, beautiful and quaint. Burnsville is my parents hometown and this remind me of a time gone by. The owners were friendly and accomodating. I plan to return and will definitely stay here again. Thanks for the perfect room. .
